Learning That Honors Our Roots. Inspiring the Next Generation

At African Village Africain, we believe learning should lift both the mind and the spirit.
Our Educational Outreach Program bridges academic learning with cultural pride β€” giving children and families the tools to succeed in school while celebrating the rich heritage that shapes who they are.

β€œMy son used to say he didn’t fit in at school. Now, he teaches his class about Africa with confidence.”
β€” Yvette, parent

About the Program

Education isn’t just about grades β€” it’s about identity, belonging, and possibility.

Our Educational Outreach Program was created to help African and Caribbean youth β€” as well as newcomer families β€” thrive academically and emotionally, while staying connected to their cultural roots.

We offer after-school tutoring, mentorship, creative arts, and heritage learning that empower students to see education not as a struggle… but as a celebration.

Because when our children see themselves in their lessons, they start to believe in their own brilliance.
